Here they are at last - the dates for the MYCS 2018-19 series....

We still have some final details to sort - confirmation, of our round 5 venue, rule changes in line with the YCS, what colour head judge Dave's hair will be..........but as soon as we know, so will you.
Round 1 will be a bouldering only round at last years grand final venue - Boulder Central in West Bromwich on Sunday October 14th 2018. A great bouldering wall, with lovely staff, fantastic coffee and comfy sofas!
Round 2 will be a routes only round at the fabulous Creation Climbing Centre in Birmingham on Sunday 11th November 2018 - an MYCS favourite, they are currently refurbing the place and it looks great - get ready for some challenging routes that will really test our young climbers but will be lots of fun.
Round 3 will be a bouldering only round The Climbing Station at Loughborough on Sunday 9th December 2018 - another perenial favourite and home of our reigning team champions (will they make it three in a row). This will be our christmas round so there will be fun and games and lots of chocolate. We'll make sure head judge Lee where's his christmas jumper!
Round 4 will be a routes only round at The Tower Climbing Centre in Leciester on Sunday January 20th 2019 - due the size of the venue, this will most likely be a staggered start - we are still working out the details, so keep an eye on the website. However, although this venue is small, it is perfectly formed with some great route setting (did you know we've only had one climb off there in the past two years)
Round 5 will be a bouldering only round on Sunday February 10th 2019 - the venue is still top secret while we work out some final details, but we are very excited about it so check back soon for details.
Our GRAND FINAL will be on Sunday 10th March 2019 and we are very excited that it will be at a new venue for MYCS - Climbing the Walls in Shrewsbury. This is a great venue and we are hoping that we can use the activity walls following the main competition to keep you all busy while we are totting up the scores.
You may be aware following the Ireland and Scotland YCS announcements that there are likely to be some changes to this years YCS format - we are keen to continue to follow the YCS format as much as possible as MYCS has always been a warm up for it. We are in talks with the BMC and are waiting for confirmation of the new set-up. As soon as we know what is happening about this we will let you know.
