Sunday 19th January is the third round of 2019-20 MYCS at Climbing the Walls in Shrewsbury - it will be a mixed boulder and routes round.

Some important information about the round is below:

PLEASE NOTE: Once again, the event will be NUT FREE due to a competitor with life threatening allergies.

JUDGES NEEDED: Climbers will compete in their groups for this round - if you are able to judge or belay, please let me know.

RAFFLE LAUNCH - we will be launching our raffle for this year - we have some great prizes once again including a repeat of the fabulaous custom made bouldering mat as our first prize.

FORMAT: The round will consist of 3 boulder problems and 3 roped climbs. Groups E and D will top rope and groups C, B, A and Junior will lead climb. Competitors will move around their climbs in their groups. 

There will be a single attempt for each roped route with a maximum of 100 points available. Each boulder problem will have a maximum of three attempts with 62 points available if a problem is flashed, 61 points if topped on a second attempt and 60 points if topped on a third attempt. If not topped, points will be awarded based on how far the competitor gets into the problem.

START TIMES WILL BE STAGGERED FOR THIS ROUND - please note the stagger is different to previous rounds.

Groups Boys and Girls C, B, A and Junior

9am - 10am - Regsitration  10am - Climbing 

Groups Boys and Girls D and E

10:30am - 11:30am - Registration 11:30am - Climbing 

All competitors must have complete the MYCS registration form AND the Climbing the Walls registration form 

The MYCS form only needs to be completed once - if you have already filled one prior to the first round, there is no need to complete it again
